How billing works
We want you to know exactly what you will pay and when, before you enter a card number. Here is the full timeline:
- Day 0: You pay $1.00 when you complete your first document. This starts your 7-day trial.
- Days 1–7: Full access to the editor, template library, e-signatures, downloads, and storage. Nothing else is charged during this period.
- Day 7 onward: Your subscription renews automatically at $39.99/month unless you cancel first. You can cancel at any point before the renewal and you will never be charged the monthly fee.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card number ourselves — see our security page and billing terms for details.
How to cancel
Cancelling takes under a minute and there are no retention hoops. Go to Dashboard → Billing and click “Cancel subscription,” or email support@finishmydocs.com. Cancellation stops all future charges; you keep access until the end of your paid period. Full steps are on our how to cancel page.
Refunds
If you are unhappy with a charge, email us within 7 days of the charge and we will review it case by case — and we err on the side of the customer. The $1 trial fee is refundable on request if the service failed to deliver your document. Read the full refund policy.
Pricing FAQ
Is anything charged before the $1?
No. You pay nothing until you choose to complete your first document, at which point you are charged exactly $1.00.
Will I be reminded before the $39.99 renewal?
The renewal date is shown on your billing page from day one, and the renewal terms are disclosed at checkout. If you cancel before day 7, the monthly fee is never charged.
Can I cancel during the trial and keep using it?
Yes. Cancelling stops future charges but your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Are there any other fees?
