How billing works
We want you to know exactly what you will pay and when, before you enter a card number.
- Start for $1 (default): You pay $1.00 when you complete your first document. That starts a 7-day unlimited trial. After 7 days the subscription renews at $39.99/month unless you cancel first.
- $19 one-time: Pay $19 for the document already open in the editor. No subscription. You can re-download that same finished file from your dashboard for 90 days. It does not unlock other templates.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card number ourselves — see our security page and billing terms for details. Charges appear as FINISHMYDOCS.COM.
How to cancel
The $1 trial is a subscription you can cancel in under a minute. Go to Dashboard → Billing and click “Cancel subscription,” or email support@finishmydocs.com. The $19 one-time purchase is not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel. Full steps are on our how to cancel page.
Refunds
If you are unhappy with a charge, email us within 7 days of the charge and we will review it case by case — and we err on the side of the customer. The $1 trial fee is refundable on request if the service failed to deliver your document. Read the full refund policy.
Pricing FAQ
Is anything charged before the $1?
No. You pay nothing until you choose to complete your first document, at which point you are charged exactly $1.00 — or $19 if you choose the one-time option instead.
Will I be reminded before the $39.99 renewal?
The renewal date is shown on your billing page from day one, and the renewal terms are disclosed at checkout. If you cancel before day 7, the monthly fee is never charged. The $19 one-time option never renews.
Can I cancel during the trial and keep using it?
Yes. Cancelling the trial stops future charges but your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Are there any other fees?
No setup fee and no cancellation fee. You choose either the $1 trial (then $39.99/month unless cancelled) or a $19 one-time payment for the document open in the editor. A second form is another $19, or you can start the $1 unlimited trial. More questions? See the full FAQ or contact us.
