Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and FinishMyDocs.com (“FinishMyDocs,” “we,” “us”). Please read them — they are written to be understood, not to hide things.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, completing a document, or otherwise using FinishMyDocs, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Billing Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The Service

FinishMyDocs is an online PDF editor and document template library. The service lets you upload PDFs (up to 25 MB), edit, fill, and sign them, download, print, email, and share finished documents, export pages as PNG or JPEG, invite others to e-sign, and store documents privately in your account.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@finishmydocs.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Trial & Subscription Billing

Your first completed document costs $1.00 (USD), charged when you complete it. This payment starts a 7-day trial with full access to the service. After 7 days, your subscription renews automatically at $39.99/month unless cancelled. Cancel anytime.

By starting the trial, you authorize us (through our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method $1.00 today and $39.99 each month thereafter until you cancel. The renewal date is shown in Dashboard → Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store your card number. Full mechanics are in the Billing Terms.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time, by either of two methods: (a) one click in Dashboard → Billing → “Cancel subscription”, or (b) emailing support@finishmydocs.com from your account email. Cancellation stops all future charges; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel during the 7-day trial, the $39.99 monthly fee is never charged. 6. Refunds

Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy: contact us within 7 days of a charge; refunds of the most recent subscription charge are granted case by case, and we err on the side of the customer. The $1 trial fee is refundable on request if the service failed to deliver your document.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use FinishMyDocs to:

• create, process, or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive documents, including forged signatures or falsified records;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
• abuse the service — for example, attempting to breach security, scrape or overload our systems, or send spam through e-signature invitations.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

8. Your Content

You own the documents you upload and create. You grant us a limited license to store, process, transmit, and display your documents solely as needed to provide the service to you — for example, rendering your PDF in the editor or delivering it to a signer you invited. We do not use your documents for anything else, and we do not sell them. You can delete your documents from your dashboard at any time.

9. Templates Are Not Legal Advice

FinishMyDocs is not a law firm and is not a tax advisor. Templates in our library are general-purpose documents provided for convenience; they are not legal, tax, or financial advice and may not fit your situation. You are responsible for the accuracy and suitability of any document you complete. Consult a qualified professional if you need advice.

10. No Government Affiliation

FinishMyDocs.com is a private document preparation and editing service. We are not affiliated with any government agency. Government forms may also be available directly from official government websites for free. Government forms available through our library can also be obtained free of charge from the issuing agency's official website. See our Disclaimer.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinishMyDocs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 8, 9, 10, and 11) survive.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice before it takes effect, and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
